About Us

Ecocentric Transitions is a social enterprise that seeks to mainstream sustainable living through workshops that inculcate environmental empathy around the topics of Waste & Resources, Food Resilience, Environmental Education, and Sustainable Living Skills.

Mission

We deliver workshops and experiential learning programs that develop sustainable living skills and environmental empathy.
Our workshops are a combination of hard skills and soft skills to groom individuals with appropriate localized solutions and support which extends to form a larger collective movement.
To achieve this mission we work with various communities, schools, NGO collectives and local festivals.

Vision

We aspire to create a society where the individual and the collective are accountable for our impact on the planet's finite resources.

What We Do For Sustainability In Malaysia

Our workshops fall under the themes of

Urban Sustainability

Sustainability is for everyone. We help you identify the environmental impact of your choices and how you can shift your everyday habits.

Environmental Education

Environmental empathy is at the core of what we do. Our environmental education programs introduce you to the uniqueness of our ecosystem, local flora and fauna diversity and experiencing Malaysia’s environmental heritage.

Waste & Resources

Each item you use requires a certain amount of energy and resources to create it. Our goal is to raise the awareness of of the embodied energy in the products we use and food consume. Through our hands on up cycling workshops and discussions we help you close the resources loop and seek low impact alternatives.

Food Resilience

You can learn how to be proactive about what you eat by building your own edible garden. Our edible gardens program is a fast-growing community of everyday people ranging from those who have balcony herb gardens to small-scale vegetable plots.
