Food Resilience

All of us have an invisible relationship with farmers’ everyday but few of us know where our food comes from.

Food Resilience is about:

  • ensuring healthy food supply in face of rising costs, instability and climate change
  • knowledge and skill to grow our own food
  • community edible gardens as well as supporting local organic farms
  • swapping seeds and collectively enriching our living seed bank
  • sharing and exchanging harvest
  • conserving food diversity and cultural heritage

What we do:

  • workshops on organic farming techniques including composting methods, fertilizers, pest management and plant care
  • teach locally-appropriate Permaculture Design
  • design and implement gardens and farms for individuals, schools, neighborhoods and businesses
  • build rooftop and container gardens
  • research and innovate techniques for increasing productivity using local knowledge and resources
